Elizabeth,
Office Manager
Elizabeth has been on our team since 2004.
She has worked in medical offices for many years and feels this job is a
good fit for her, combining her love of people and animals. Elizabeth
realizes the important role animals play in our lives and shares her own
life with her husband, 2 happy golden retrievers Tula and Gwen, and a kitty
named Chip.
Now that her 3 children
are grown, any free time she has is spent pursuing her love of photography,
(she took the staff photos), walking, reading and enjoying her family and
friends.

Jane,
Office Manager
Jane joined our team in
April 2007 while finishing her schooling. She graduated in August 2007
from McHenry County College with her Associates Degree in Administrative
Office Management. She currently resides in Woodstock along with her 2
cats, Tucker & Scout. Jane has always loved animals and is glad to see
that others share her same feeling. Jane likes to spend her spare time
with family and friends and playing with her kitties.

Chris, Veterinary Assistant
and
Kennel Manager
Chris has been with us
since 2001, when her love of working with animals and helping people brought
her to us. At first Chris worked the front office and now is helping
technicians and doctors with procedures. She credits the Randall’s for
teaching her the proper handling of animals for procedures, and client
education, among other tasks. Chris enjoys assisting in many different
applications of being a Veterinary Technician. She is currently the Kennel
Supervisor and oversees general maintenance of the facility. Chris has been
married for 30 years and resides in Woodstock on a small ranch with three
dogs, two horses, a cat, a donkey named Jack and numerous ducks and
chickens. Besides her farm family, she has 3 children, 2 sons-in-law and a
granddaughter. In her spare time she is busy with her husband, family, pets
and being a volunteer 4-H leader with special interest in dog training. As
if that’s not enough, she also helps with the 4-H Horse and Dog committee.

Kim, Veterinary Technician
Kim joined our team in
2004 and has been a technician since 1994. Born and raised in Illinois, she
now resides in Cary with her fiancé, Joe, two Alaskan Malamutes, two cats, a
parrot and salt water fish. Kim has a strong interest in canine behavior
and canine reproduction. Her hobbies include photography and dog sledding.
She also competes in agility, obedience, rally, weight pulling and
conformation

Shauna, Certified Veterinary Technician
Shauna joined our
team in May 2006. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College
(North Carolina) in August 2006 with an Associates in Applied Science degree
in the field of Veterinary Technology. She has a special interest in
dentistry as well as assisting with orthopedic procedures. She also enjoys
educating clients on dental health for their pet. Shauna and her husband
love to hike with their two dogs, ride their horse, go camping and spend as
much time outdoors as possible.

Jenn,
Certified Veterinary Technician
Jenn graduated
from Joliet Junior College in May 2007 from the Veterinary Technology
program. She has been with AHOW since 2004, starting in kennels and now
assists our team as a CVT. She thoroughly enjoys educating clients on
topics such as dental health, weight management and wellness care. She and
her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends and playing with
their dog, Wrangler and cat, Candy. As a 4-H alumni, she gives back to the
community by being a part of the 4-H Horse committee.

Brenda, Certified Veterinary
Technician
Brenda joined our team in 2006. She graduated in 2005 from Bel-Rea
Veterinary Institute in Denver, Colorado, with an Associates in Applied
Science degree in the field of Veterinary Technology. She is also certified
in Canine and Equine Sports Massage Therapy. She enjoys working with both
large and small animals, but has a special interest in ultrasound, endoscopy
and working with cardiac patients. Brenda has had experience teaching at
the local college in the Veterinary Assistant Program. Her hobbies include
camping and hiking with her husband, son and family dog, Mack, as well as
spending time with her family and friends. Brenda also is involved with her
fellow technicians in giving back to the community by being a 4-H leader and
helping kids with their 4-H projects.

Andrea joined our team in October 2008. She has a Bachelors degree in
Biology from Southern Illinois University. She enjoys all aspects of
veterinary medicine. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her dog,
Stella, watching movies with her cat, Bug, and spending time with family
and friends.

Jenny,
Veterinary Technician
Jenny joined the AHOW team in 2003. She has a Bachelors degree in
Chemistry from Viterbo University in Wisconsin and has worked as a
technician since 1997. She enjoys gardening and cross stitching in her
spare time. Jenny, her husband and son also enjoy hiking and fishing
together. They have two rescued cats to round out the household.

Jessica,
Certified Veterinary Technician
Jessica recently joined our team in March 2010. She graduated from Front
Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado in June 2000 with an
Associates in Applied Science degree in the field of Veterinary
Technology. She absolutely loves surgery and has been a surgical
technician for seven years. She has taken the last four years off to
pursue her dream of becoming a mother to two beautiful children; Chase,
4 and Reese, 1. Jessica is now back to work part-time and the rest of
her time is spent with her kids. In her spare time she loves bike
riding, camping, movies and spending time with her wonderful family and
friends. Her little four legged companion, Babs, is also an important
part of the family.

Karen,
Receptionist
Karen is new to the team, joining us in February 2010. She has had over
20 years office experience and is looking forward to combining her
previous experience with her love for working with people and animals.
She has lived in Woodstock most of her life and in her spare time she
enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She enjoys camping,
canoeing, running with her dog, reading and watching movies.

Kim,
Receptionist
The newest addition to the AHOW team, Kim, came on board in May 2010. Kim
comes from a background in real estate sales and development and has a
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She is enjoying learning
more about animal sciences. In her free time Kim enjoys fly fishing,
playing softball and volleyball, making jewelry and participating in art
shows. Kim's perfect day ends with her husband, R.B., dogs (Sadie and
Remy) and cat (Buddy) spending time together, playing fetch and
watching the sunset.
