Sheila and Rio

Sheila, Office Manager

Sheila moved to Illinois from Texas in 2000, and has been with AHOW since 2004.  She has over 20 years experience in various administrative fields and has always adored animals, so she now has the best of  both worlds everyday.  The challenges of managing an animal hospital and the ability to meet new people and animals make her days rewarding .  She is owned by 3 cats, Max, Zoe and Zeus and has adopted herself out to many friends’ dogs. When not working, you can usually find her buried in a book, learning Woodstock’s history, trying new recipes or exploring Chicago.

Elizabeth, Receptionist

I grew up in Peoria, Illinois, married my high school sweetheart, and have 3 grown children.  We moved to Woodstock 13 years ago.  I've worked in medical offices for many years and being an animal lover all my life, my job here at Animal Hospital of Woodstock is perfect for me.  I get to interact with people AND their pets and appreciate the important role pets play in our lives.
I have 2 happy golden retrievers, Tula and Gwen.   Photography is my favorite way to spend my free time, so now that my kids are gone, my dogs get to smile for my camera."

At first Chris worked the front office and now is helping the techs and doctors with procedures. She credits the Randall's for teaching her a number of things which includes the proper handling of animals for procedures, and client education Her favorite thing to do at AHOW is to assist in the many different applications of being a veterinary assistant. She is also currently the kennel supervisor and oversees general maintenance of the facility. Chris has been married 26 years and resides in Woodstock on a small ranch with 3 dogs, 2 horses, 2 rabbits, a cat, and numerous ducks and chickens. Besides her farm family she has 3 children, a son-in-law and a granddaughter. In her spare time she is busy with her family, pets and being a volunteer 4-H leader with special interest in dog training. If that's not enough she helps with the 4-H Horse and Dog committee.
